The 5ZT-5 potato seed tuber cutting machine mainly consists of a feeding device, a seed tuber conveying device, a seed tuber conveying and grading device, a seed tuber cutting device, a blade disinfection device, a seed tuber screening device, a seed tuber sterilization and disinfection device, a grading and conveying device, an electrical control system, and a frame.

Working Principle:

Potato seed tubers are conveyed or poured in via a feeding device to a seed tuber grading and conveying device. The grading device uses a contour-following method to transport seed tubers weighing 50 grams or more that need to be cut into pieces to a cutting device. Those weighing less than 50 grams fall into a lower grading and conveying device and are directly used as seed tubers.

The seed tubers conveyed to the cutting device are cut lengthwise by a longitudinal blade. Seed pieces weighing less than 50 grams fall into the lower grading and conveying device and are transported away. Seed pieces weighing more than 50 grams enter a horizontal blade for further cutting. The cut seed pieces fall into a seed tuber screening device, where they are screened and conveyed away. Those that are difficult to plant are cut into thin slices and removed by sieving.

Finally, the cut seed tubers are sterilized and conveyed to a seed dressing machine for mixing with talcum powder. The seed tubers mixed with talcum powder are then stored for planting.
